Planting Marigold Seeds

1. • When to plant: Early spring, after the last frost. Marigolds grow best in warm weather.
   • Where to plant: Choose a sunny spot, as marigolds love full sunlight.
   • How to plant:
     • Prepare the soil by loosening it and removing weeds.
     • Sprinkle the seeds on the soil surface and cover them lightly with a thin layer of soil (around 1/4 inch deep).
     • Water the soil gently to keep it moist, but not soggy.
     • Seeds should sprout within 7-14 days.

   • Marigolds thrive in warm temperatures. Ideal temperatures for growing marigolds are between 70-75°F (21-24°C).
   • They can handle hot weather but may not grow well in cold temperatures or frost.

4. Caring for Marigold Plants

   • Sunlight: Marigolds need at least 6 hours of sunlight daily.
   • Soil: Well-drained soil is best for marigolds. They can grow in average garden soil but prefer soil that isn’t too rich.
   • Fertilizing: Marigolds don’t need much fertilizer. Too much can lead to more leaves but fewer flowers. A light feed once a month is enough.
