• Support: Due to their height, giant sunflowers may need staking to prevent them from toppling over in strong winds. Use a sturdy stake and tie the plant gently to the stake for support.

Watering:

• Germination Stage: Keep the soil consistently moist during germination (usually 7-10 days). Avoid overwatering to prevent seed rot.
• Once Established: Water deeply but infrequently. Giant sunflowers typically need about 1 inch of water per week. Allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings to promote deep root growth.
• Watering Tip: Water at the base of the plant to prevent fungal diseases and keep the foliage dry.
